I created the fundraiser because my sweet niece Ashtyn was hospitalized on Saturday afternoon.

She was in Nail Tech Licensing school until experiencing a difficult pregnancy. Ash recently gave birth to a beautiful baby boy that is happy and healthy. She loves him so much and he loves his mom.

Ashtyn‘s mom, Laurisa, supported her around the clock as she recovered and adjusted to being a new, young mom. However, Ashtyn sadly still developed a postpartum psychiatric disorder. The baby was not home with her when this presented as severe. He was at an event with his grandma and uncle so that Ashy could rest.

Ash is currently receiving treatment in the hospital, we do not have a timeframe for her to come home or know what aftercare will look like yet.

Prior to the past week, her mom and professional care team thought that she may be in the clear from any postpartum psychiatric complications, but for some, they can present up to 1 year postpartum.

Support for mom’s and families is extremely important, especially during postpartum.

The baby is in Laurisa‘s care and she also has two kids that live with her full time. The kids are dedicated to Children’s Theater and BMX racing.

Due to lost wages during this time I am wanting to raise monetary donations that will go straight to their family for urgent expenses, so that they can stay in their home and Ashtyn can continue treatment once she is discharged.
