Help Ashton Kolich Fight Fanconi Anemia


In the summer of 2019 Ashton was diagnosed with Fanconi Anemia causing his bone marrow to fail. Fanconi Anemia (FA) is an inherited DNA-repair disease that may lead to bone marrow failure (aplastic anemia), leukemia, and/or solid tumors. 

Ashton has since had several blood transfusions while waiting for a bone marrow transplant.

The doctors at Children’s Mercy found a match for Ashton and he is scheduled for transplant at Cincinnati Children's Hospital in the Spring of 2020. 

Ashton will be hospitalized from 4-6 months in Cincinnati and will return home for additional months as his immune system rebuilds. The goal is for Ashton to return to school at Blue Valley North in 2021.

During this process Ashton’s parents, Cheryl & Michael and his brother Alex will be along his side. This will require time off work, lost income and rising medical bills.

If you would like to support Ashton and his family during this process anything you can contribute will help put the family at ease.

The Kolich’s have a lot of support and appreciate absolutely everything that has been done to help.

We know the Doctors, Nurses and everyone at Children’s Mercy Hospital and Cincinnati Children's Hospital will take amazing care of Ashton.

A meal train sign up may be added at a later date and we will be sure to keep his progress posted.
