I don't really know how to do this kind of thing but doing nothing is way worse.

Hey my name is James smith, uncle to Ashton Kogler. Well I'm not really his real uncle but I have been there since he was just a little thing and they mostly call me Uncle Smith or sometimes Smiff . I was in the army for 8 years and I served along side his father during a deployment to Afghanistan. So, we have been best friends ever since. Unfortunately Ashton attempted to take his own life but thank god he is in stable but critical condition. The bullet passed through his main artery in his stomach and now there is no blood flow to his legs. The doctors said they are certain he will have his legs removed below the knee. We need help to get this child some prosthetics because unfortunately the VA insurance may not cover him. This is all up to date as of Aug. 27, 2025. I will keep everyone updated on his condition. If it turns out by some miracle he doesn't need prosthetics then the funds will be refunded. But a good set of pros costs upwards of $70k. We will take anything. It all goes to support Ashton in this extremely long road ahead. Nothing will be used for anyone's gain expect for Ashton. After we get these prosthetic legs for him anything remaining will go into counseling for him and everything he will be successful. If receipts are needed I will post them. We will take what ever you can spare $1 $5 $10 or even just a prayer. We just need help. Ashton needs our help.
