I am raising funds for Ashton Ferguson, who is a single Black mom living in an all-white gated community. Ever since Ashton moved to this community in Florida, she has been taunted by the tenants. They would knock on her door and run, make their dog bark, and then go to the office to report noise complaints. The tenants are also seen on the Ring camera kicking her deliveries from Amazon to the corner where her Ring camera couldn’t see, and then the packages would disappear.

The other night, Ashton’s car was firebombed because people in that community don’t want her there. She is a very hard-working, single mom trying to make a better life for her kid and does not bother anyone. She goes from home to work and occasionally goes out to dinner with friends and returns back home. She does not deserve to have her only means of transportation, which she just purchased after saving up for a secondhand car, to be firebombed. It’s now a federal crime and is classified as a hate crime. Ashton was too afraid to sleep in her condo and she wants to get out quickly. The community's help is needed to buy a new car, even if it’s a secondhand car, and find a place to stay. She’s out of money and needs the community's help. There is no way in 2026 that this sort of thing should be going on. Please help Ashton so she can get back on her feet again.
