I am the mother of this most beautiful child. Her name is Ash. She has had a rough few years. In January of 2024 she had a spinal fusion from her thorax to her lumbar. As a result of the Scoliosis, she had complications called Median Arcuate Ligament Syndrome (MALS) and Superior Mesenteric Artery Syndrome (SMAS). She had surgery for SMAS in February of 2025. She is undergoing a Celiac Nerve Plexus Block this month for MALS and then another surgery. To make things even more complicated she has POTS which is Postural Orthostatic Tachycardia Syndrome and another rare syndrome called Ehlers Danlos Syndrom (EDS).

Prior to all of these syndromes, she was a very active, fun loving teenager. She enjoyed hunter/jumper horse riding, paddle boarding, and doing normal teenage things. As a mom, I hope that she will continue to be able to have a long, fun life and do all the things her heart desires. She is currently homeschooled and has a goal of becoming a marine biologist, specifically a shark biologist.

Even though we have insurance, we are struggling to pay for the specialist and medical equipment to help her in her daily life. Some of the necessities she needs are not covered by insurance.
