Support Ashlynne's Journey to Self Discovery

Hello! Ashlynne here. I graduated last June (2024) and just turned 18 in September (2024)! I’m so excited to take a gap year to explore who I am before starting college.

I'd love some support for my plans instead of gifts for my graduation and birthday as I start to move around and become more of an adult. I have some ambitions!

As for my plans ... I'm heading to a Contemplative Semester right after my birthday: a “three-month immersion into Buddhist Wisdom, Meditation, Community, and Nature Connection.” This will build on a meditation practice I've developed over the past couple years. When that finishes, I plan to travel internationally to visit friends, and hopefully to a mini-exchange year. Between these plans, I am also going to work and learn some life skills, such as learning to drive.

A gap year is a lot of money and I'm trying to do my part to help fund it. I have plans, but don't just want to rely on my parents to fix it. I worked last summer and am using part of those funds to support myself. I received a scholarship from the Contemplative Semester which covers over half of tuition! I need only bridge the gap and plan for the travel.
