My name is Ashlynne McManus, and on October 16th, 2023, my life changed when I was diagnosed with kidney failure. What began as a series of unexplained symptoms quickly turned into countless doctor visits, tests, and difficult conversations about my health and future. Hearing the words “kidney failure” was overwhelming and frightening, but from that day forward, I have done my best to stay strong, stay positive, and trust that there is a brighter path ahead.

A kidney transplant is now my best hope for a healthier, more stable life. While I continue to fight through treatments and appointments, the medical expenses, ongoing medications, travel for care, and time away from work have created financial challenges that are incredibly hard to manage on my own. Asking for help is not easy, but I am learning that sometimes strength means allowing others to lift you up when you need it most.
