This fundraiser is for Ashlyn Huffer, someone who has spent the past several years quietly helping carry others through some of their hardest seasons—and now she needs our community to help carry her while she recovers.
Ashlyn recently had to undergo emergency surgery and will be unable to work for several weeks while she heals. Like many people, she relies on her paycheck to cover everyday life, and this unexpected time away from work has created a real financial strain.
For those who know Ashlyn, you’ve likely experienced the way she shows up for people. She is the kind of person who notices what needs to be done and simply does it—solving problems, supporting others, and making sure things keep moving forward even when circumstances are difficult.
Over the past year, during one of the most challenging seasons our team has faced, Ashlyn didn’t step back—she stepped up. She took on more responsibility, brought creative ideas to the table, helped generate new clients and opportunities, and worked tirelessly to help keep things moving forward. Her commitment has never just been about a job. She has poured her time, energy, creativity, and heart into supporting the women she works alongside.
Ashlyn is also a survivor herself—someone who understands deeply what it means to rebuild a life after trauma. That lived experience shapes the care, empathy, and strength she brings into the lives of others every day.
Our community is always asking how they can show up and support the women in our program directly. This is one of those moments where we can do exactly that.
If you’re able, any contribution—no matter the size—will help ease the financial burden during her recovery and remind her just how much she is valued by this community.
