Help support Ashling as she undergoes cancer surgery and treatment!

This fundraiser is to support Ashling Bowen as she faces the difficult journey of surgery and radiation for thyroid cancer. Ashling was recently diagnosed with thyroid cancer, which was subsequently found to have metastasized to her lymph nodes. She will undergo a full thyroid removal and neck dissection on March 5th at the University of Utah-Huntsman.

After surgery, she will take several weeks at home to recover before eventually starting radiation treatment. In the midst of this, Ashling will work with her medical team to explore fertility preservation options given her young age.

Throughout this journey, Ashling will be faced with substantial medical bills, travel expenses, and time off work. Since she recently started in her position, she does not qualify for FMLA and will be looking at significant unpaid time off.
