Life can feel incredibly unfair sometimes, and no one knows this better than me (Ashlie). For years, I have bravely battled multiple sclerosis (MS), a relentless disease that has slowly taken away my mobility, strength, and independence. As if living with MS wasn’t already overwhelming, I am also legally blind.
Imagine for a moment the challenges I face daily—navigating a world that no longer accommodates me, feeling isolated, and struggling with the loss of basic abilities that most of us take for granted. From relying on others for simple tasks to grappling with constant fatigue and pain, I have endured more than anyone should have to.
Despite this, I have shown immense courage, but the truth is, I need help. The medical bills are mounting, my home is no longer safe or accessible, and the equipment that could help me regain some semblance of independence is far beyond what I can afford. Specialized therapies, mobility aids, and home modifications are essential to my survival and well-being, yet they are out of reach without support.
It’s frustrating, heartbreaking, and exhausting for me and my loved ones. Watching someone you care about slowly lose their quality of life because of financial barriers feels devastating. I should be focusing on my health and recovery, not worrying about how to pay for life-saving treatments or simply make it through the day.
I am asking for your help because I deserve better. I deserve a chance to live with dignity, comfort, and support. Your donation, no matter how small, will go directly toward:
• Medical treatments and therapies not covered by insurance
• Assistive technology to help with blindness
• Home modifications to make my living space accessible
• Daily living expenses as I can no longer work
Please, if you can, help ease the burden on me during this incredibly difficult time. Share this campaign with your friends and community, and together, let’s give me the support I desperately need.
Thank you from the bottom of my heart for your kindness, generosity, and for giving me, Ashlie, hope in the face of overwhelming adversity.
