In 2022, Ashlie was diagnosed with Acute Myeloid Leukemia (AML). After a long and difficult battle, including a bone marrow transplant in June of 2023, she was officially declared in remission the following October. Since then, Ashlie and her amazing wife Emily have done an incredible job of giving their two kids the most wonderful life anyone could ask for. On top of that, they opened Masa Masa, everyone’s favorite taco shop, where their mission of “Be kind. Eat Tacos.” has touched every guest who walks through their doors.

On March 21st, 2026, Ashlie and her family received the heartbreaking news that she had relapsed with AML. She began treatment again on March 26th, and we know this will be another long and difficult journey for her and her loved ones. Our goal is to help take some of the financial burden of treatment costs off their shoulders during this time, so they can focus on what matters most: Ashlie’s health and their family’s well-being.

Ashlie is one of the kindest, most caring, genuine, and thoughtful people I have ever known. I have had the pleasure of being her friend for the past five years and I cannot express enough how wonderful she has been to me, she is the friend that everyone dreams of, and each of her loved ones knows this.
