Travel expenses due to surgical complications

Hi, I am setting up this GoFundMe to help with expenses for my daughter and her family. Ashley had weight loss surgery 7 days ago and was doing very well. On the seventh day, she spiked a fever that just was stubborn and wouldn’t go down. She went to the ER here in Sycamore. They called her surgery team in Elk Grove Village and they felt it would be better if she was seen there to be checked out. They left the hospital with her about 8:45 pm Friday night.

After running tests and getting a handle on what was going on, they discovered a stomach leak, also known as an anastomotic leak. This is a serious and potentially life-threatening complication that can occur after gastric bypass surgery. It happens when the ends of a connected channel don't seal completely, allowing digestive juices and partly digested food to leak out. Leaks can occur up to several weeks after surgery, but most develop within three to 5 days.

She is in the hospital and has been started on a treatment plan, and a PICC line has been inserted for medications and nutritional needs. She was told that she would be in the hospital for several days. I am just trying to help with travel and expenses incurred during this. Please help if you can. All proceeds will go directly to the family.
