Hello, my name is Ashley, and I’m reaching out for help during a very challenging time for my family. At the beginning of September, I was unexpectedly hospitalized and fell into a coma due to Guillain-Barré syndrome, which led to respiratory, kidney, and heart failure. On top of that, I am facing an unknown autoimmune disease that continues to shut my organs down. Just four days ago, I suffered a small stroke, adding to the difficulties of my recovery.

My husband recently transitioned out of the military at the end of July, and while he is training for his new job, we are struggling to make ends meet. We have a small family, and with me being out of commission and unable to work, we’re facing significant financial stress. We’re also dealing with long-distance travel for specialist appointments, which adds to the burden.
