Do It For Ashley – Keep Her Light
Losing a child is the most painful experience any parent can face. On October 23, 2024, our beloved daughter, Ashley Isabella Scott, passed away at just 14 years old. Ashley’s sudden loss left our family, friends, her cheerleading team, fellow students at Rock Canyon High School, and our entire community in deep mourning.
Ashley was radiant, vivacious, and full of life. She never met a stranger and had a heart that always sought to lift others up. From a young age, Ashley dedicated herself to helping those in need, founding and mentoring through her project KidsCareToo for nine years. Through her passion and service, she touched countless lives locally, statewide, and internationally.
Ashley was recognized by Colorado Governor John Hickenlooper in his final State of the State address in 2018 and was awarded the first City of Pueblo Hero Award for empowering youth in her community. She continued giving even in her passing — Ashley was an organ donor, and we were humbled to receive a heartfelt letter from a fellow cheerleader who received one of Ashley’s gifts of life, thanking Ashley and our family.
The Ashley Isabella Scott Foundation Inc, a Colorado 501(c)(3) and 509(a)(1) public charity, was created to continue Ashley’s life mission: “Inspire Others, Choose Kindness, Stop Bullying.”
Through the Foundation, we:
Donated over 600 gift bags to the homeless at Christmas 2024
Provided over 400 Easter baskets and school supplies to domestic violence shelters in 2025
Support the Rock Canyon High School KidsCareToo Club (RCHS), KidsCareTooCO, and KidsCareTooAL in Alabama
Send gifts to children in Mexico, China, and soon India
Children are still struggling. Many face homelessness, abuse, or lack essential support. Your donations make a real difference — providing scholarships, mental health support, essential items, and hope to children who need it most.
We are also honored to share a letter from Children’s Hospital Colorado recognizing our work helping children in need. Every gift continues Ashley’s legacy, ensuring her light shines on in the lives of children across our communities and around the world.
Please, do it for Ashley (#DIFA) — Don’t Suffer In Silence (#DSIS).
