Help Support Ashley's Kidney Transplant Recovery Journey

I'm reaching out to share some of Ashley's story and ask for your support in her ongoing journey to recover from her transplant and continue on her healing journey.

In 2015, a routine eye exam unexpectedly led to a trip to the ER, where she learned that her kidneys were failing. The diagnosis of end-stage renal failure changed her life from that point forward. After diagnosis she quickly found herself on dialysis, which endured for the next four years. About six months ago she was placed on the transplant list for for a new kidney, that would give her the chance at the life she's always wanted.

Thankfully Ashley has a strong support system — her parents, siblings, grandmother, aunts, uncles, and extended family in Texas who have all been with her through every step of the journey, providing love and encouragement.

Now that she has finally received the life-changing transplant, the next step is recovery. The healing and recovery process will take about a year, and Ashley will need to travel regularly to Saint Luke's in Kansas City for follow-up care. The funds raised here will help cover the costs of travel, life-saving medication, and the transition back into a career and a fulfilling life.

Ashley's dream is to regain her health, work again, become a mother, and live a life she can truly enjoy with her new kidney. Every donation will bring her one step closer to achieving that dream, and we would all be so incredibly grateful for your donations and generosity.
