Help Ashley King Rebuild Her Life After a Devastating Drunk Driving Crash
My name is Ashley King and I never imagined my life could change in an instant.
What should have been an ordinary night, everything changed forever. While helping my boyfriend change a tire during our last call of the night, we were struck by a drunk driver. Cameron and I started a roadside assistance business of our own. I was a full time entrepreneur and it was great having a business partner for the first time. Working with Cam was a pleasure. Our goal was to elevate together.

The crash was devastating. It claimed the life of the man I loved, Cameron and left me fighting for my life.

I was the seriously injured woman mentioned in the Pepper Pike news article about the fatal crash. Since the accident, I have undergone multiple surgeries. My left leg had to be amputated, my spine was broken, both of my legs were broken, I suffered several broken ribs, a fractured shoulder and fractures in my right foot.

Thankfully, doctors were able to save my right leg, but I still face a long and difficult recovery.

Every day is a challenge. I’m learning how to walk again while adjusting to life as an amputee at 26 years old. I am also facing the difficult reality of having to move from my home because of my injuries and the changes to my mobility. The physical pain is overwhelming and the emotional pain of losing Cameron is something I carry with me every single day.

As a mother of three, the hardest part is not being able to care for my children the way I always have.

The simple daily tasks I once took for granted now require help. It breaks my heart that my children have had to watch me go through this and I am determined to regain my independence for them.

I will be unable to work for several months and I don't know when I'll be able to return. During this time, I am facing mounting bills, rehabilitation costs, living expenses, etc.

Thank you everyone for your prayers, support and condolences!
