Support Ashley's Journey Post-ICE Raid
Donation protected
Hello dear friends, family, and community,
My name is Bianca and I am raising funds for Ashley Toledano. On June 3rd, ICE searched the entire apartment building in which Ashley and her parents resided. She asked to see a warrant and they would not show her anything. She was cuffed until she was able to prove that she was a citizen. ICE took away both of her parents at once, leaving her behind with a recently renewed lease contract and their 3 pets to take care of. Ashley is also a recent Gustavus Adolphus College graduate who recently started her first job post-graduation and is left to pay off her college debt alone without the support of her parents as well. This sudden and traumatic situation is causing a grave financial burden on her life and I want to do whatever I can to help her. Her apartment's management team is asking for $8,000.00 to break the lease contract. Even if she does break her lease contract, she will have to move in with family friends where there is no room to keep all three of her pets together. My thought is we can start by trying to reach the $8,000.00 goal, but if we happen to make more, she may even be able to use the funds raised to pay off her rent for the next year, maintain her pets together, and have time to save up to try to be ready to face the world on her own. My heart is absolutely broken for Ashley, her parents, and her pets. Her father is a family friend and whenever we would speak, he would tell me about how much he loves his pets, the ones here and the multiple strays he would send money for over in Mexico. He has asked Ashley to do her best to keep them together and I hope together as a community we can come together and help support this young woman through this nightmare situation. Thank you in advance to those who open up their hearts to give. Anything helps, and I know these are hard times for everyone, so even if you cannot give monetarily right now, sharing this fundraiser is also greatly appreciated.
