This profile was created by friends of Gina and Ashley Meyer. We feel it is time to get Ashley’s story out.

Ashley’s life changed in an instant. Once a vibrant, active, and bright young woman—deeply involved in her school, her friends, and her future—she is now entering her seventh year of being bedridden and non-communicative due to a mysterious and debilitating illness that came on suddenly and progressed rapidly.

Her parents, who care for her around the clock, have pursued every traditional medical route available. Despite countless appointments, specialists, and treatments, Ashley remains unwell—trapped in a body that no longer responds.

Recently, hope has come from an unexpected place. A Chinese medicine doctor has offered a promising path forward—one that may finally bring some healing and relief. But these services, which require regular and intensive treatment, are not covered by insurance and come at a significant cost.

We are going to raise money to help cover some of these expenses. Your support will go directly toward treatment costs. Every contribution—no matter how small—will make a difference in Ashley’s journey back to life.
