Hi everyone,

I never imagined I would be writing something like this. Asking for help feels overwhelming and humbling, but I’m at a point where I simply can’t keep pretending I can handle this on my own.

For years, I have been fighting severe, enduring anorexia. An eating disorder that has slowly, deeply, and painfully shattered my health. Even though I’ve worked incredibly hard to restore and maintain a stable weight, the reality is that weight gain alone can’t undo the damage that’s been done.

This illness has taken so much from me.

It has damaged my nervous system.

It has crushed my mental health.

And worst of all, it has severely harmed my heart, my kidneys, and even my brain.

Hearing doctors explain how deeply my body has been affected is terrifying. I’m trying my best to stay hopeful, but the truth is, I’m scared. I want to live. I want to heal. I want my body—and my life—back.

But the treatment I need now is highly specialized, and my insurance won’t cover any of it. Not a single appointment. I’ve already gone very far into debt trying to pay for the care that has kept me stable enough to function. And I still have such a long, expensive road ahead.

I’m exhausted—physically, emotionally, and financially. Yet I’m still fighting. I’m fighting every day to stay alive, to recover, and to believe that there’s a healthier future waiting for me.

That’s why I’m turning to the people around me for help. My finances are depleted, and it terrifies me that my life has a price tag on it that I can no longer uphold on my own.
