When God called Ashley home, her family wasn’t ready.
Ashley’s passing was sudden and devastating, and her loved ones are left navigating a loss no one could have prepared for. She was a daughter, a sister, a friend, and a light in the lives of everyone who knew her. Her smile, her fierce friendship, and her strength touched so many—and now, her absence is felt just as deeply.
On Sunday, July 6th, Ashley was taken to Miami Valley Hospital in Dayton, Ohio. For three days, she reported ongoing health issues to the nursing staff and shared that she was feeling very sick. She had recently mentioned concerns about kidney stones and had also expressed that her pacemaker needed to be checked in the weeks leading up to her hospitalization. Despite her efforts to seek help, Ashley’s condition worsened, and her sudden passing has left her family in shock and grief.
Ashley was a dedicated and caring friend. She passionately advocated for restorative justice, led support groups for incarcerated women, and generously shared her radiant light and joy with the world each day.
As her loved ones begin to process this unimaginable heartbreak, they are also faced with the unexpected financial burden of funeral and memorial expenses.
We’re asking for help during this incredibly difficult time. Any contribution—big or small—will go directly toward giving Ashley the beautiful and dignified farewell she deserves, and easing the stress on her family as they honor her life.
Donations will help cover travel expenses, funeral costs, and bringing Ashley back from Dayton.
If you’re unable to donate, please consider sharing this campaign or keeping Ashley’s loved ones in your thoughts and prayers.
Thank you for your kindness, generosity, and support.
