Support Michael’s children through sudden unexpected loss

** UPDATE- Unfortunately, we have now been told to hire an attorney, to file a lawsuit against the apartment management. We have spent days just trying to enter our father’s residence to get his will, and important documents and have been told no one is allowed in the residence at all, not even with law enforcement escort. This could take up to 90 days to a year. We have been forced to make an executive decision amoungst siblings to cremate him due to not being able to retrieve his will from his residence. We believe this is something he may have wanted. We have been advised we can not use his life insurance policy til 6 months to a year due to back up in results from medical examiner exams.

We have had multiple people ask how to donate/help in any way. On March 3, 2025 my wife, Ashley Darden, suffered a sudden tragic loss as she and her siblings lost their father, Michael Nelson. Not only are they left trying to grieve. Mike was not married, she was his emergency contact, he left everything up to her to handle. Including planning funeral/memorial expenses. They however, are now unfortunately having to go through legal battles with his property management making this extremely difficult. He was not local, so we are left to figure out out-of-state accommodations and travel expenses as well.

All donations will be made directly to Ashley to handle all expenses during this time.
