On the night of July 4th, what was supposed to be a fun and relaxing holiday turned into something Ashley Walker will never forget. A rogue firework went off unexpectedly, sparking a fire that quickly spread to the garage of her home. Thankfully, the fire didn’t reach the main structure, but the smoke that poured in was overwhelming and caused extensive damage to almost everything inside.
While Ashley and her two daughters are safe, nearly all of their personal belongings were ruined by smoke. Clothes, furniture, toys, everyday essentials – all of it has been impacted.
Ashley is a single mom doing everything she can to raise two amazing girls. She’s also a detective with the Internet Crimes Against Children task force in Montgomery County, working hard every day to protect children and make the community safer. She’s one of those people who always shows up for others – and now she could really use some help herself.
This fundraiser is to help Ashley:
• Replace essential items lost to smoke damage
• Pay for professional cleaning and restoration
• Cover temporary housing and basic living costs while repairs are made
Any support, whether it’s a donation or just sharing this page, means the world to Ashley and her girls right now. Let’s come together and help them get back on their feet after this unexpected and scary experience.
Thank you so much.
