Back in 2020 Ashley and Tatie were in a terrible car accident that changed their family forever.
Thankfully Tatie was only 8 months old at the time as came out unscathed.
Unfortunately for Ashley it sent her down a really rocky road ever since. She’s received so many diagnoses, now battles several auto immune diseases, and multiple surgeries! Long story short, the shock of the accident (since they were hit twice) sent Ashley‘s body into a trauma response which caused it to start aging and degrading faster than a normal person her age.
It’s seriously affected her ability to live life the way she would like, she is unable to go to events or take part and things she would really like to because of the extreme amount of pain she is constantly in. She’s already had a neurostimulator and an intrathecal pain pump installed into her body.
She’s now in need of her third back surgery. The surgery is to relieve chronic 24-7 sciatic pain. It’s debilitating! There are times that she doesn’t even feel like she can walk much less get out of bed. As you can imagine this is extremely difficult on someone who is the mother of an extremely active and social four-year-d and it’s hard for her to be the wife she would like to be.
Ashley found out on Wednesday that her surgery will be in exactly 2 weeks, on Thursday, February 27. With it being only February, the Teague’s are having trouble coming up with their deductible of $1000 for her to have the surgery. It’s especially hard because Tony was laid off from his job December 19, 2024. (Thankfully, he does have another job lined up now, but it does not even start until tentatively March 3rd. ) All that being said, the surgery is supposed to genuinely help her quality of life and it’s very important to her and her family that she is able to receive it.
