On April 8th, I received the life-changing news that I was diagnosed with uterine cancer. This diagnosis has deeply affected not only me but also my entire family. As the sole provider for my household, I carry the responsibility of supporting my husband, who is unable to work due to multiple sclerosis and epilepsy. Facing this diagnosis has brought a lot of uncertainty and worry into our lives, especially knowing that I will need to take 4-6 weeks off work after surgery, with no income during that time. In addition to the emotional and physical challenges, I am also responsible for covering 30% of my surgery costs, which is a significant financial burden for us right now.
