As many friends and family already know, my sister, Ashley, was suffering from severe headaches. After finally getting an MRI a massive tumor was found and within 12 hours she underwent brain surgery. They removed as much of the tumor that they could and sent it out for biopsy. Unfortunately, during her recovery the incision became infected with a staff infection, resulting in another surgery to clean out the wound as well as a partial craniectomy. During that hospital stay she received her biopsy results, that the tumor was a grade 4 astrocytoma.

Ashley has a long road ahead of her but her medical team has already started planning out her journey as well as reaching out for second opinions for different treatments.

She has shown nothing but grace and poise during this difficult time, we continue to be amazed by her incredible strength!
