I’m raising funds for my friend Ashley, who is in nursing school with me and is now going through cancer treatment.

Ashley is one of the hardest workers I know. Since knowing her from August of 2025, Ashley has inspired me and numerous peers with her dedication, drive, and integrity. I myself have witnessed the kind of grit this woman has; she has managed a full time (12 hour night shift) work schedule alongside a phenomenal commitment to her nursing career and schooling. We are entering into our third semester of nursing school, which is the hardest part of our program- between juggling our schedule of 10+ clinical dates, 9+ exams, and many, many, hours dedicated to study, Ashley now adds a new item to her overloaded plate- cancer.

Ashley's goal right now is to graduate from the nursing program and obtain her RN. She has been within the healthcare field for over a decade, and spends her free time caring; caring for those who are in their greatest moments of need; caring for those who are experiencing their worst days- and ultimately, touching the lives of all who surround her.

Ashley has had a lot of obstacles in her path throughout my time knowing her. She is truly an inspiration to so many of our peers and colleagues. She carries so much responsibility now: raising her two sons, being a loving mother and wife, taking care of her sick mother, attending our nursing program, working, and now attending to her own health through her rigorous chemotherapy schedule.

Its time for us to reciprocate the same love and understanding that Ashley has shown everyone else for so long.

Ashley has tuition to pay, medical costs, everyday bills, and two kids at home depending on her. This fundraiser is meant to help ease some of the financial pressure lying on her so she can keep moving forward in school while getting the care that she needs. Even now, her priority is to continue to try to help others- an admirable quality for one who was dealt such a difficult hand.
