Support Ashley's Urgent Medical Recovery

Hi, my name is Ashley McElroy. I am reaching out to my community for support. My situation has become dire, and I must ask for help.

This all started about two months ago. I had been out of work on a trip to visit my partner overseas & fell ill while I was there. I was living on a small amount of money I had saved up from working, & I did not have any outside income & cannot work while I am there. I became sick very quickly & had to pay for all of my medical expenses out of pocket, which drained my savings. I had been sick for weeks before I had to return home. I never fully recovered from the illness I caught there, & traveling only worsened my condition. After arriving, my symptoms compounded on one another & I have become the sickest I have ever been in my life & am now bedridden. I was diagnosed with a sinus infection, double ear infection, & pneumonia all at once after already having been sick for a month. I am in the worst physical condition I have ever been in & my body is struggling to fight all of this & recover. I recently lost something of great value to me as well which has only added stress, pain, exhaustion, & sadness.

I am reaching out for help from my community as my situation has become an emergency & I do not know where else to turn. I do not know when I will physically be able to return to working my jobs yet, due to my symptoms & the incredible toll this all has taken on my body. My spirits are extremely low & I feel very vulnerable being in this position to ask for help, & any support & donations are greatly appreciated.

Any & all donations will go towards covering medical expenses from overseas, & ones I have incurred recently, such as medicine, supplies, x-rays & tests, doctor visits/care, & bills. Alongside that, it would cover out-of-work wages, it would help me buy groceries & pet food, & pay for my phone & car bills, among other personal expenses.

Anything would help stabilize me and assist in my full recovery, however long that takes. There is a long healing journey ahead of me & I truly appreciate all the support I can get.
