Some of you know me as the wife of my very own superhero, Scott, who received a life-saving pancreas and kidney transplant after years of battling type 1 diabetes and kidney failure this last November.

Today, I would love to introduce you to another superhero I am blessed to call family.

Meet Ashley Jackson, a bona fide superhero!

She's beautiful, inside and out. She's also incredibly smart, kind, funny, and the type of person described as "salt of the earth" in the Holy Bible. She's a fantastic mother, a devoted wife, and a simply amazing person, with a contagious smile and laugh. I've never met a person like her and likely never will. I'm not exaggerating when I tell you that she's truly one in a million!

She's also currently fighting a very aggressive form of cancer.

Just a few weeks ago, they found masses that were highly suggestive of malignancy in some follow-ups on a routine examination. And the biopsy of those masses confirmed category 5 BIRADS, an aggressive form of cancer.

So after a weekend busy with school football games, and practice, cleaning the house and caring for her family, Ashely dropped her three wonderful sons off at school and with my brother (Brady) at her side, headed out of the sleepy beach town they call home, over the mountains, and into the bustling city streets of Longview, WA which is two hours away. There, they performed surgery and placed a port she needs to receive the life-saving chemotherapy treatments she will need to fight this terrifying disease.

Despite it all, as you can see in this picture, Ashley smiles on! She is determined to fight this with a smile on her face, a prayer in her heart, and her husband's hand at her side. She knows that God still has plans to prosper her and is ready for the battle she has been tasked with.

But sometimes, even superheroes need help.

Ashley and Brady need financial assistance as they face this battle. Already, they have a mountain of medical bills, and with two more trips this week to Longview for more treatments and procedures, it's difficult for either of them to work and bring home the much-needed bacon they need to not only keep Ashley strong, pay for her treatments, but also to provide for their three growing boys and fur-children.

At this point, we don't know how much or for how long they might need help. But we are asking that if you find it in your hearts to chip in a few bucks for gas, food, and bills, you would become a superhero yourself and help Ashley beat this horrible disease.

And if you don't have any money to spare, we ask for your prayers, because like Ashley, this family believes that God can move mountains!
