Many of you already know that my son-in-law, Danny Bell, underwent surgery on November 3rd. He was discharged the next day, but only a few days later—on November 8th—he had to be rushed back to the hospital by EMS. Since then, Danny has remained hospitalized, facing one challenge after another.

During this hospital stay, Danny contracted a MRSA infection, which has made his recovery far more difficult and prolonged. He has undergone a second surgery along with several procedures as doctors work tirelessly to get him stable and on the road to healing.

Unfortunately, Danny had just started a new job shortly before all of this happened, meaning he has no sick leave or vacation time, and therefore no income coming in. He is expected to be out of work for 4–6 weeks as he recovers. Ashley has been out of work as well, staying by his side every step of the way during this emotional and exhausting ordeal.

Once Danny is finally able to return home, a home health care agency will be coming in to help care for him as he continues treatment. He will require IV antibiotics and TPN therapy at home, adding to the complexity and cost of his recovery.

With medical bills building and everyday expenses still needing to be met, Danny and Ashley are under tremendous financial strain.
