Hi, my name is Ryan and I have organized a fundraiser for the love of my life , Ashley Cortes. This last September 2024, Ashley was diagnosed with high-grade mammary carcinoma. Needless to say, the news was devastating. Ashley is a single mother of two amazing daughters. Her oldest daughter will be graduating high school this year, and her youngest daughter, Cecilia, is three going on four.

Throughout the course of cancer treatments and surgery, Ashley has been unable to work, and the medical expenses/overnight trips to the Fred Hutch Cancer Center in Seattle have been financially exhausting. Ashley has been unable to work since November 18th, 2024.

Ashley is an incredible young woman full of life and positivity. She is a very loving mother and extremely hard worker. She had regularly made the commute over 3 hours every day round trip to get to either one of her two barbershop locations in Silverdale/Bainbridge island and does it with a smile. And has done this for over two years now. I can’t think of another person more deserving of a helping hand in these very difficult times.

The road to recovery will be long and unfortunately very expensive. Anything you can do is incredibly appreciated. Even if it is just sharing the fundraiser and spreading the word. Let’s all rally around this young woman and do what we can to make things at least a little bit easier for her during this time.
