Support Ashley Blake's Fight Against Rare Ovarian Cancer

To know Ashley is to know what love in abundance is. The essence of her being is all things kind, compassionate and giving. If you’ve experienced Ashley, then you know without a shadow of doubt that you’ve been well cared for. I’d contend with the fact that there isn’t a sweeter, more giving or intuitively nurturing person in the world.

Today, Ashley could use that generosity and abundance of love extended back to her.

The last year of Ashley’s life has been difficult to say the least. At the start of the year Ashley was experiencing some reproductive health complications that had gone undiagnosed. After finding a doctor that was willing to hear her concerns and take proper care of her, it was deemed necessary for Ashley to undergo surgery on June 14, 2024, to remove an abnormal growth with hopes that life would return to normal. After that surgery, pathology labs came back and the unexpected happened, Ashley was diagnosed with a rare form of cancer, Stage 3A - Adult Granulosa Cell Ovarian Cancer. Another surgery was then scheduled for September 25, 2024, to remove the ovary that the cancer seemed to be stationed in. In her post-op visit for her second surgery on October 28th, 2024, her oncologist informed us that there was more free-floating cancer outside of the organ and she would now have to receive chemotherapy to remove the newfound cancer.

On top of the cancer diagnosis, Ashley was also made aware that the chemotherapy would impact her fertility and her ability to have the family she longs for and deeply desires. Ashley will now have to do the entire hormone and egg retrieval before chemotherapy can begin. So now chemotherapy due to start at the end of November while the egg retrieval and harvesting process is scheduled to begin November 8th.

In just a few short months Ashley’s life has changed drastically, and the weight of the of her world has become burdensome. Constant decision making, working through the grief, maintaining a sense of normalcy, the emotional toil and harsh realities have all contributed to the life she currently knows. However, in true Ashley fashion, her faith remains.

While we are believing God for total healing, there are practical tools that have been offered and suggested to make sure Ashley lives well. Ashley’s current financial goal of $10k encompasses the medical cost that she’s been thrust into in under two weeks’ time.

Your contribution will assist in her ability to have the family she’s prayed for. Your contribution will assist in her ability to worry just a little bit less about having the necessary medications. Your contribution will assist her in helping researchers find out more information about this rare cancer through her experience. But most important, your contribution will assist in her ability to be cancer-free.

If Ashley has ever encouraged you, shown up for you or supported you in any way, I pray you would consider standing in the gap for her now.
