Hello, I am Gavin Browning’s (New London) uncle, and I’m also Ashley Peiffer’s (Gavin’s mother) big brother. I’m overwhelmed by the amazing unity of our community when we lost a very precious part of our family. He is the first son, grandson, nephew, and friend that he gifted us. Gavin left us homecoming night in a truck accident as a passenger beyond his control. Gavin’s birthday is March 22. It’s his first birthday away from us. He will be 17, but always 16 with us during this lifetime.

With one month out from his birthday, I’m trying to raise funds in Gavin’s honor. Along with unfortunate expenses that occurred, my fund’s purpose is also to: help towards Gavin’s family’s professional grief counseling, emotional incapacitation and extended lost time away from work, and his final resting place. My wishes are to give Ashley all donations on her son’s birthday. And; If you’d like to include your name, I’ll hand-write it on a card for her to see and cherish. I think winding the fund down on March 18 will give me time to coordinate things. I will do my best to select privacy settings so the family doesn’t view. Please, keep this fund as quiet as possible.
