Ashleigh Whitton was doing what she loves—competing in a triathlon—when everything changed in an instant.

During a race this weekend in West Palm Beach, FL (4.12.26) Ashleigh was involved in a collision with a vehicle that had entered the race course. The roads were partially blocked for the event, but a car pulled into the race path, and Ashleigh’s bike collided with the passenger side of the vehicle.

She was airlifted to St. Mary’s Trauma Center with life-threatening injuries.

Ashleigh has since undergone emergency surgery to stabilize her spinal cord. Doctors have described her injury as one of the most severe spinal cord injuries possible. At this time, she is paralyzed from the neck down.

In addition, she is battling brain swelling and bleeding and has been placed in a medically induced coma to give her brain and body the best chance to heal.

Ashleigh is currently in the ICU on a ventilator. Doctors do not yet know if she will regain the ability to breathe on her own.

While the situation is incredibly serious, there has been a small but meaningful moment of hope—Ashleigh was able to briefly wake and respond to her husband Patrick by blinking on command, showing that she can hear and process his voice.

Right now, the next phase is critical. Doctors will need time—days, weeks, and beyond—to better understand the extent of her injuries and what recovery may look like.

Ashleigh is not just a patient—she is an extraordinary woman who has impacted so many lives. She is one of the strongest, most vibrant, and selfless people you will ever meet.

She is an incredible mother to her daughter, Sophia, who is currently in school in NYU, but has since gone to Florida to be with her mom. She is also a loving stepmother to Eric and a devoted wife to her husband, Patrick, who is by her side through every moment of this fight.

If you know Ashleigh, you know she’s a beast. Stronger than most, tougher than anyone I know, and not someone who backs down from a fight.

The road ahead will be long and uncertain. She is expected to remain in the hospital for weeks, followed by extensive rehabilitation, long-term care, and significant life adjustments.

We are raising funds to help support Ashleigh and her family through this unimaginable time. 100% of the proceeds will go to:
• Medical and ICU expenses
• Long-term care and rehabilitation
• Breathing support and recovery needs
• Travel expenses for her family
• Unexpected expenses during her recovery

Every donation, share, and prayer truly matters.

Please help us surround Ashleigh and her family with strength, love, and support as they face the road ahead.

We will continue to share updates as we learn more.

Thank you for standing with Ashleigh. ❤️
