I am helping to raise funds for my colleague, Ashlee.

Ashlee and I have worked together for 5+ years. Over the last couple years she has had increasing health problems. What began as GI symptoms, frequent headaches and fatigue grew into severe pain, vision disturbance, and numbness in her arms and legs.

After countless doctor visits and tests, Ashlee finally got an answer at the Mayo Clinic: Arnold-Chiari Syndrome — a rare and serious neurological disorder where the lower part of the brain pushes down into the spinal canal. This puts pressure on the brainstem and spinal cord, disrupting vital functions like balance, coordination, vision, and even breathing. The pain and fatigue it causes can be completely debilitating.

Despite trying every non-invasive treatment available, Ashlee’s symptoms have continued to worsen, leaving her no choice but to undergo major brain surgery on October 16th. This surgery is critical — it’s the only option to relieve pressure on her brain and prevent further, possibly permanent, damage.

Ashlee will be out of work until the start of the new year as she faces a long, challenging recovery. We’re raising funds to help her with medical expenses and living costs during this time so she can focus on healing instead of worrying about finances.
