Help Braden Receive a Life-Saving Kidney Transplant

At just 18 years old, Braden was preparing for something very important to him—his church mission. As part of the process, he underwent routine medical testing to receive health clearance. What began as a standard checkup quickly turned into something no one could have expected.

Braden was diagnosed with kidney failure. In what felt like an instant, his life completely changed. Instead of preparing to serve, he entered a battle that has now lasted more than two years. His kidney numbers have continued to decline, leaving him exhausted and unable to do the things that a healthy young man his age should be able to enjoy.

Now 20 years old, Braden spends much of his time resting in bed, missing out on experiences and opportunities that once filled him with hope. But in the midst of this hardship, there has been a blessing: his sister, Ashlee, was recently confirmed as a match to donate a kidney. This selfless act gives Braden the chance at a second chance—at health, at energy, and at life.

Ashlee’s decision to step forward is nothing short of remarkable. In order to give her brother this gift of life, she is putting her own plans on hold, even choosing to pause her schooling for a couple of semesters so she can undergo the transplant and recovery process. Her sacrifice and love for her brother are truly inspiring, and the family is deeply grateful for her courage.
