Support Asheville's Hurricane Recovery: Supplies Needed!
Donation protected
By now, most folks have seen the devastation Hurricane Helene has brought to many states in the Southeast. One of the hardest-hit areas is Asheville, NC, where the damage is unprecedented. Many communities are still without running water, power, and internet.
Given the immense need, Cribl's own Bart Vey is planning a trip from the DC area to provide direct aid in partnership with The United Way of Asheville and Buncombe County Friday, Oct. 18th - Monday, Oct. 21. His plan is to rent a trailer, load it up with supplies, and drive down to Asheville, NC to deliver the supplies and volunteer.
Right now - the greatest need is for generators and portable cooking supplies. Given that they are expensive items, our goal for this fundraising campaign is to raise enough money to collectively donate 8 generators and 10 propane gas stoves. The average cost of a quality generator is ~$800, and the average cost of a quality camping stove with propane is ~$100.
Any excess funds that aren't used to directly purchase critical supplies will be donated to The United Way of Asheville and Buncombe County to be used for continued disaster relief.
