UPDATE! Support Asheville Family's Recovery from Helene
Donation protected
Updated 10/7/24
You guys!! Just truly amazing humans, everyone who donated. We cannot thank you enough!
The family has been staying with her parents in Asheville. That home is still without power and safe water, but they are safe and in good spirits. Morgan and Brad delivered supplies to the family in Asheville on Oct. 3rd. That included food, clothing, cleaning supplies, toys for the boys, gas, coal, water, and extra supplies for Leila to hand out to anyone they meet who might need something.
Below are some photos of their home. The Swannanoa River was literally in their backyard and it devastated the area. They were located on the first floor of a complex, where the water flooded to the second floor. Their entire home was submerged.

A family of four including Leila Allen (Meg Phillips) with two young boys (and Blanche, the pup) in Asheville, NC lost their home due to Hurricane Helene.
This GoFundMe is being shared with those who know the family to help them where they need it. Feel free to donate, even if you don’t know the family. Any is welcome. Any is appreciated.
This fund was created by an old friend who checked in and heard the unthinkable news. They lost everything and had to search through the ruins for anything they could salvage.
I've been in contact with her but service is still off and on. I'm staying in contact to get more help. Last I talked to her, she was waiting in a line at a Target for basic supplies and dog food.
