On June 15th, my 15 month old, Asher was scheduled to have a MRI done. Before we were able to make it back home, we received a heart wrenching call. He has a 13 x 12 mm tumor on his brain. We were given 3 options. Wait to see if it grows and monitor the tumor. Do a biopsy surgery or a removal surgery. We have chose to do the removal surgery. If the biopsy insisted on removal, we didn’t want him to go through 2 surgeries.

If we were to wait and it grew bigger, in the area it is in, it could cut the flow of his brain fluid. And become life threatening. He will be having surgery in about 3 weeks. He will go in to do a MRI with the neurosurgeon for a better map and guidance for the surgery. from the MRI he will then go straight into the operating room. The surgery will last 3-4 hours with 1 week hospital stay recovery required.

i recently moved back home to louisiana, currently and staying with my parents. Who will be driving us to this procedure a day prior to surgery, for testing and prep before surgery. And his father lives out of state, and will be out of work during the entire stay ;and a few days Prior and after surgery . This has brung an unexpected financial burden on us . We will be need help with expenses, food, and hotel stay. 

Surgery is scheduled for July 6th, but we are required to be there July 5th for pre surgery testing!
