ATTN SURF COMMUNITY!!! One of our local groms, Asher Craft, is in need of our support. He has been diagnosed with severe scoliosis. Asher and his family first discovered this in the spring of 2025. Over the summer Asher spent time in physical therapy appts and was even fitted for a custom back brace. However, two weeks ago he got news that due to a recent growth spurt the scoliosis has reached severe curvature. Local doctors have recommended surgery. Kelle has since researched and found a scoliosis specialist in Florida that is able to help Asher avoid surgery. Unfortunately, our health care system does not cover this care and they are looking at nearly $100,000 out-of-pocket costs.
