Loving, hardworking mother Ashaki has been in the hospital and intensive care for four months following a sudden and devastating stroke that left her fighting for her life. She endured both brain and lung surgeries with recovery complications that leave her with permanent mobility and memory loss. She will need lifelong around the clock care from her children still grappling with the emotional impact of their mother's battle and recovery.

Medical bills for her hospital and rehabilitation stays as well as cost of medications, thrice weekly appointments, and mobility aids are overwhelming. As she can no longer work, and her eldest son had to leave his job to bring her home and provide the intense care his mother needs, we are reaching out to the community for help with these medical and daily living costs.
