As I write this, our beloved Ash is in surgery to remove cancer from their body. They are an incredible parent, partner, friend and two-spirit community member. Ash gives so much to their community through ceremony, council for countless, and the love they bring into the world. They and their family have a long road of healing ahead of them. They will have to miss a number of weeks of work to recover from the surgery and possibly more depending on the coarse of treatment for the cancer.
