Support Ash, Ember, and Garfield's Care

Ash, Ember, and Garfield. These are the names of the three beautiful cats on campus. Ash is the mother to Ember, and with Garfield, these cats are dependent on the funding of the on-campus faculty to feed them. Those who are helping have made a group called "The Cat Crew" and this group has been rotating out buying food for the cats. They have a group chat in which they coordinate with each other who is buying food next. If it were not for the faculty's love for these cats, they would be homeless, unfed, and still scavenging on the streets.

None of the three cats are neutered, and we are afraid that the overpopulation of cats in the area will produce more cats like these three homeless cats. The stray and feral population in Wilson NC is uncontrolled despite efforts from Wilson Animal Enforcement, and we want to play our part as a campus community.

Our mission is to feed, neuter, and in the long run, hopefully find loving homes for Ash, Ember, and Garfield, by bringing awareness of their story to as many people as we can. Please help us support these three unloved community cats who deserve all the love in the world.

The aim is to raise enough funding for

Food for 25' ($40 x 10 months) = $400
Neutering per cat (3 x $60) = $180
Cat Boxes & Hay ( $25-&75 per box X3) = $225
Total = $805

(With any extra funds, we will be contributing to the surrounding cat owners in the Wilson neighborhood, one of which we know to have adopted up to four past, local campus cats).

We envision a future on campus where students and faculty can express their love and care for homeless animals by saving the local feral cats through relationships with surrounding shelters, veterinarians, and Animal Enforcement.

Any donations would be greatly appreciated, and if you would prefer to donate food instead, please DM us on Instagram and we will make an effort to come and pick it up.

These cats deserve love, and the faculty are giving what they can, but as a community, we have a responsibility to these animals, to provide love and care for them. They didn't ask to end up on the streets, and they aren't asking us to provide food for them or neuter them. But WE are asking YOU. NO amount is too small, so please consider anything.
