Support Asad Going to Cartegena, Colombia!

Hello, my name is Asad Ali.

You may know me as your nephew, grandchild, friend’s kid, and so on.

The reason I'm making this video is because I need your help.

I’m going to Cali &Cartagena, Columbia in South America this summer from June 16th-June 23rd with my after-school program, Youth Of The Diaspora. This is a big deal because many African American youth my age don’t get this opportunity to travel internationally.

While there I’ll be learning more about my people, the African diaspora, and expanding my worldview. The last couple of months I’ve been very dedicated to this program, including reading the Assata book, engaging in thought-provoking debates, community service projects and more.

Now the final step before the trip is fundraising. So far I’ve raised around $200, with my goal being $1,500. Any support would be appreciated; $10, $20, or more; it will all help support me in learning and having an amazing time! And even if you can't support me personally, I’d appreciate if you share this with someone who can.
