Support Aruma's Queer Film Journey

Hi! My name is Aruma. I'm a queer student filmmaker, and I'm currently studying at SUNY Purchase as a freshman. I am working to put together my freshman thesis film, titled INERT MINDS. In order to make this film possible, I need to be able to feed my cast and crew, along with secure a location and gather up props and costuming.

I have so much I want to discuss through film as a queer and Hispanic person. I hope to continue having the opportunity to spread awareness, share my story, and connect with others. Anything will be put towards my freshmen thesis and helping me stay in school.

Brief synopsis: A man and a woman go through the stages of deconstructing societal pressures surrounding their suppressed femininity and masculinity. They go back and forth between coming to terms with their true deeply buried identity and falling into the pressures of gender roles in society.
