Open since 2012, Arts In Motion Dance Academy in Henrico, VA is the area's only LGBTQ-owned and LGBTQ-affirming dance studio. Enrollment is significantly lower for the 2024-2025 school year than previous dance seasons. Some formerly enrolled families have let us know that they decided not to return to AIM because of our strong advocacy for LGBTQ families and youth. This has left us with a significant defecit for covering expenses for the year-end Recital.

Each year AIM produces a Recital for our students, showcasing our dancers' talents and hard work on stage. At the 2025 Recital, we will have seven graduating Seniors performing solos as part of their Senior Project, the culmination of a dancer's journey at AIM. It is extremely important to us that our students, especially our Seniors, get the opportunity to perform on stage this year.
