Support Artists with Disabilities

The David Seguin Memorial Award was established to celebrate the creative work of artists with disabilities.

Since 2017 the Seguin family has awarded a cash prize through the Toronto Fringe Festival. As the 2020 Festival has been cancelled, the Seguin family is reallocating this year's cash prize to provide micro grants to artists with disabilities in order to help them cover basic living expenses, such as rent and groceries.

Artists with disabilities have been hit hard by the COVID-19 pandemic as not only are they facing the hardships created by an industry-wide shutdown, but they have also seen a reduction in support and an increase in costs as a result of the physical distancing measures that have been implemented to contain the virus.

Apply for Support

Canadian artists with disabilities can request a one-time grant of $100.

If you are in need, please visit to request support.

Support Artists

The Seguin family is contributing $1,000 to start, which is enough for 10 artists, but many more need help.

If you are able to make a donation, please do so. No amount is too small to make a big difference!

All funds raised will be given to artists with disabilities.

Thank you for your support!
