Support Artist Paul Madden's fight against kidney failure
Donation protected
I am an artist. I have been for over 50 years, working mainly with athletes and celebrities. I hand draw portraits used as giveaway posters, limited edition prints, and the like for teams, TV shows, and sports promoters, as well as your normal family portraits. (Some of my art can be viewed on my Facebook page).
Throughout that time, I have (through my artwork and appearances) raised a few hundred thousand dollars for assorted worthwhile charities. (I am NOT reimbursed for my artwork, ONLY travel).
I have recently been diagnosed with Stage IV Kidney Failure and am prepping for dialysis and hopefully a kidney transplant. I meet with a transplant team early October.
As most artists, being self-employed, I have had amazingly successful years financially, and many not so successful. I have some insurance but am not sure what the future holds for me regarding my out-of-pocket expenses.
I am used to helping others raise needed funds, but not for myself personally. It is a bit embarrassing and humbling to post this page, but I want to continue my work, but more importantly, spend more years with my wife of over 43 years! She has been supporting my wild art adventures all those years and continues to be supportive to this day.
Finding a kidney donor is hopefully the next and biggest step.
So, if you find it in yourself to help out, I will be universally grateful and thankful.
