Citation Needed is a small Queens-based independent press that publishes artist books authored and envisioned by kids! You can learn more about our work here.

Citation Needed was founded by Ari Wolff and a group of 5th graders three years ago. Since then, we've published 52 unique artist books by children and worked with over 1,200 participants at community centers, libraries, and arts organizations.

After years of being a portable publishing project, we purchased our own photocopier—the one and only (refurbished) Canon Imagerunner! This has already helped our project grow, but we still need your help paying it off. We are asking for support to continue producing books and providing high-quality, free and affordable programming to the communities we work alongside.
