My name is Victoria Siale (Higby), and I’m reaching out with a heavy heart—and with faith—to ask for help for my dad, Arthur Higby. My dad has been bravely battling pancreatic cancer, and over the past few weeks, his condition has become much more difficult. He is currently facing severe complications, including fluid buildup in his abdomen (ascites), requiring multiple draining procedures. He’s also been unable to eat or drink without becoming sick, leaving him very fatigued and dehydrated. Through it all, we are leaning on our faith and trusting in God’s plan, even when the road feels uncertain. We believe that even in the hardest moments, there is purpose, love, and strength being carried through prayer and the support of others.
Watching someone you love go through this is incredibly painful. My dad is one of the strongest, most hardworking, and selfless people I know. He has spent his life providing for our family, lifting others up, and being a steady source of love and guidance. He has been a true example of faith, resilience, and compassion—not only to us, but to everyone blessed to know him. He has created such a profound legacy that continues to shape the lives of his children and grandchildren, who carry forward the love and values he has poured into us.
Right now, we are asking for prayers just as much as support. We believe in the power of prayer, in healing, in comfort, and in God’s presence surrounding him during this time. Between hospital visits, treatments, medications, and the possibility of ongoing care, the financial burden is quickly becoming overwhelming. We are asking for help to cover medical expenses, comfort care, and to ease the stress on our family so we can focus on what matters most—being by his side, loving him, and cherishing every moment. If you’re able to donate, no amount is too small. And if you can’t give, sharing this page and lifting my dad up in prayer would mean the world to us. Thank you from the bottom of our hearts for your love, prayers, and support. We truly believe that every act of kindness is a reflection of God’s grace. — the Higby family
