Hi! My name is Lisa and this fundraiser is Part II for Arthur's chemo and continued vet care. October of 2023, Arthur was diagnosed with osteosarcoma. We held our first fundraiser and were able to apply $976 towards amputation, continued care and six carboplatin treatments. Although we have catastrophic insurance it has not covered everything. We stilll have significant fees for items insurance does not cover, will not cover or our portion of each visit and chemos. Just yesterday's visit to give you some idea was $1,200. We also traveled to get an experimental treatement which was not covered. Although we had coverage thank goodness, we have now exhausted our coverage for this year and it does not renew until October 2024.

Fast forward to July 2024, Arthur has been fighting the good fight and as of right now lung mets have returned and are growing quickly. We have been trying different chemos and care as long as he is doing well. The vet started Palladia yesterday which covers a variety of lung tumors but is an expensive chemo. We are still hopeful at this time after discussion with our vet.

I have had several people reach out to ask me how they can help so I have restarted a new GoFundMe for Arthur. I was reluctant but have been blessed with many asking again how they can help us. We have another visit on July 23rd. So I can promise you that any donation will go to Arthur's medical expenses 100%. Everyone has been so kind and we would not have made it this far without you.

7/24/24 Update: Arthur became really sick and can no longer tolerate chemo. We have pivoted to palliative and all funds received will/were applied to existing bills and previous chemo and all other treatments including current vet care and needs.
